Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of A Crowded Galaxy at acrowdedgalaxy.com — including the comic and novel reader, membership and store, community features, and the in-browser Airlock game (together, the "Service") — operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Your Account

You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your account or let others use it. Notify us promptly at support@acrowdedgalaxy.com if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Memberships, Subscriptions, and Purchases

  • Subscriptions. Membership tiers are billed on a recurring basis (for example, monthly or annually) through our payment provider, Stripe. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through your account or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. Unless required by law, we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods.
  • One-time purchases. Some content (such as owning a particular work or chapter outright) is available as a one-time purchase. One-time purchases do not recur.
  • Price changes. We may change our prices. We will give you advance notice of any price change affecting your subscription, and the new price will apply to the next billing period after the notice.
  • Authorization. By subscribing or purchasing, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your chosen payment method for the amounts due.

Refunds

Except where required by law or expressly stated at the time of purchase, payments are non-refundable. License to Use Content

Subject to these Terms and your active entitlements, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and view the Content for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You may not: copy, download (except as the Service expressly allows), redistribute, resell, sublicense, publicly perform or display, or create derivative works from the Content; remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices; or circumvent any access control, paywall, or entitlement.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

User Content and Conduct

If you submit or post content — such as fan art, community posts, profile details, or creations within the game ("User Content") — you retain your rights in it, and you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that User Content in connection with operating and promoting the Service. You represent that you have the rights necessary to grant this license and that your User Content does not infringe anyone's rights or violate the law.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or harm other users;
  • Cheat, exploit bugs, use unauthorized automation or bots, or otherwise interfere with fair play of the game;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
  • Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security, entitlements, or usage limits;
  • Upload malware or disrupt the Service or other users' use of it.

We may remove User Content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including Stripe, Discord, and Patreon. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms, or as reasonably necessary to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

Disclaimers

The Service and all Content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content will always be available.

Limitation of Liability
